This afternoon camp at University School of Nashville puts elementary-age kids squarely in the middle of space science and aviation. Campers build rockets, learn how planets and stars work, and dig into the principles of flight — including designing their own aircraft. It's a strong fit for curious kids aged 6 to 10 who want to understand what's beyond Earth's atmosphere and how humans have figured out how to fly. The afternoon hours (12:30–4:00 PM) make it easy to stack with a morning program, which is worth knowing since USN offers a wide range of half-day camps across different subjects. At $250, it sits on the more accessible end for a focused STEM experience. There are two sessions available in June, giving families a bit of flexibility when it comes to scheduling. Families also explore University School of Nashville: STEM Safari and University School of Nashville: Mad Scientists for similar hands-on science options at the same campus.
