Yes — planning is completely free for families. Create an account and you get access to everything: browse all 1,450+ camps from 175+ providers, save unlimited sessions, create unlimited kid profiles with age-based matching, side-by-side camp comparison, full summer calendar view with conflict detection, Google/Apple/Outlook calendar sync, PDF export, shareable family links, vacation day blocking, and more. No subscription and no upsells — every feature is included. Some camps let you register and pay right on Summerly; those bookings carry a small service fee (3.5% + 30¢), shown at checkout before you pay.

Yes — select up to 4 camps and compare them side-by-side. You'll see age range, cost, dates, location, and category all in one view so you can make a decision without flipping between tabs. This is included with your free account.

It depends on the camp. Most camps link out to the provider's own registration page — for those, marking a session as "Registered" in Summerly is just for your own tracking. Verified operators can turn on hosted registration, and when a camp does, you'll see a "Register" button with a price right on its page — you register and pay for that session directly on Summerly. Either way, the camp's detail page always makes clear which kind of registration you're dealing with.

We research camps from provider websites, registration pages, and public sources. We aim for accuracy but camp details (dates, prices, availability) can change — always confirm directly with the camp provider before registering.

We update the catalog year-round, with the heaviest updates through winter and spring as camps publish the coming summer's schedules. Some camps announce earlier than others. If you notice something out of date, use the "Know a camp we're missing?" button on the camps page to flag it.

Absolutely — anyone with a free account can suggest a camp from the camps page ("Know a camp we're missing?"). We review every suggestion before it goes live.

Yes. Invite another family from the Friends tab on your planner. Once they accept, you'll each see the other's camp weeks, with the weeks your kids overlap highlighted, and "Maya's going" on camps as you browse. Each invite link works for one family.

Only what you choose, kid by kid: nothing, booked camps, or everything you're considering. Friends see first names, the camp and the week. Never times, addresses, ages or health information. Other families can't search for you, and you can remove a connection anytime, which ends sharing for both families.

Add your kids' ages and interests to their profiles (under your account), and Summerly will score each camp for compatibility. Camps get a match badge — "Great fit," "Good fit," or "Age match" — based on how well they align with your kids.

Your free account includes precise time-of-day overlap detection and full live sync to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook — changes in Summerly appear automatically on your family calendar.

Drag across any open dates on the calendar view to instantly search for camps that fit those dates. Results are filtered by your kids' ages and interests, so you only see camps that actually work for your family. It's the fastest way to fill gaps in your summer plan.

We cover 7 counties across Middle Tennessee: Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Robertson, and Cheatham. That includes Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Springfield, and surrounding communities.

Not to use Summerly: every planning feature is free, with no subscription. You only pay when you book a camp that takes registration on Summerly — the camp's price plus a small service fee (3.5% + 30¢), both shown at checkout before you pay. Refunds on those bookings follow the camp's cancellation policy, shown before you book; the service fee isn't refunded when you cancel, but it is if the camp cancels.
