This is an intro engineering and coding camp for the youngest STEM explorers — kids ages 4 to 6 who are curious about how things work. Through Montgomery Bell Academy's Camp Brick program, campers use LEGO bricks, motors, and sensors to explore simple machines like gears, levers, and pulleys, figuring out how they work together to make gadgets move and do things. There's an early intro to coding woven in as well, giving kids a first taste of both building and programming at the same time. It's a natural fit for kindergarteners and rising first-graders who love construction toys at home and are ready for a more guided, hands-on experience. The half-day schedule runs 9am to noon, which is well-suited for this age, and the single week-long session takes place July 20–24 at MBA's campus on Harding Pike. At $260 for the week, it's reasonable for a focused STEM program. Families also explore Montgomery Bell Academy: Fun with Robotics and Montgomery Bell Academy: Crazy Science (Little Explorers) for similar STEM options nearby.
