This week-long filmmaking program at the Frist Art Museum gives high schoolers a real taste of what it takes to bring a film from an idea to a finished product. Working in small teams alongside industry professionals, rising 10th through 12th graders move through the full production process — developing a concept, shooting footage, and editing it all together — in just five days. The week wraps with a film premiere at the Frist on July 18th, so teens leave with something they've actually screened in a real venue, not just a class project on a laptop. It runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Frist's Broadway location downtown. Cost is $475 to $525 for the week. There is only one session offered, so if this is on your radar it's worth registering early. Families also explore Little Art House at The Getalong and University School of Nashville's Fun with ART for similar art-focused options nearby.
