Young Debaters Camp is a half-day program at Father Ryan High School, part of the school's Summer at Father Ryan lineup. The camp introduces kids in grades K through 8 to debate and argumentation — learning how to construct clear positions, think on their feet, and communicate ideas confidently in front of an audience. It's well-suited for naturally talkative kids who want to channel that energy into a structured skill, as well as for children who could use some practice building confidence as speakers and critical thinkers. The camp runs mornings only, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, for one week in early June (June 1–5, 2026). At $285 for the week, it's a focused, affordable option for parents looking for something academically enriching rather than purely recreational. Father Ryan's campus sits at 700 Norwood Drive in Nashville, making it accessible from many parts of the city. Families also explore FR: Chess Camp (Knight School) and FR: Spark Business Camp for similar critical thinking and academic skill-building options at the same location.
