This half-day STEM camp introduces kids to video game design through Bloxels, a hands-on platform that lets young creators build their own games using pixel art. Campers design characters, worlds, and levels by arranging physical colored blocks on a game board, then scanning them into the companion app to bring everything to life digitally. It's a genuinely creative experience that blends artistic thinking with basic game mechanics — kids aren't just playing games, they're building them. Held at Father Ryan High School on Norwood Drive in Green Hills, the camp runs mornings only (9:00 AM–12:00 PM) the week of July 20–24, 2026, as part of the larger Summer at Father Ryan program. The $225 cost covers the full week. With the K–8 age range, it's accessible to younger kids curious about tech and older elementary schoolers who want a real introduction to game development concepts. Families also explore FR: Science Guys Camp and FR: Chess Camp (Knight School) for similar STEM-focused options through the Summer at Father Ryan lineup.
