This half-day tech camp at Montgomery Bell Academy puts kids inside Minecraft to practice strategic thinking through weekly competitive challenges. Campers work in both creative mode and survival mode on a secure server — so there's no contact with strangers online, just the kids in the room. Rather than free-building, the structure is challenge-based, with sessions designed around battle strategies and competing to win. Chromebooks are provided on-site, so there's nothing to pack or set up ahead of time. Open to ages 7 to 14, the camp runs four separate sessions from late May through late July, each from 9 a.m. to noon — a solid half-morning that keeps afternoons free. Sessions are priced between $210 and $260. This is part of MBA's Camp Brick program, which groups several tech-focused offerings together on the Harding Pike campus under one umbrella. Families also explore Montgomery Bell Academy: Bloxels Video Game Design, Williamson County Parks: Minecrafters Guild, and Belmont: Game Design & Programming for similar tech and gaming options nearby.
