This is a one-week literature course at Montgomery Bell Academy on Harding Pike, designed specifically for rising 7th graders — meaning kids who just finished 6th grade and will be entering middle school in the fall. The focus is practical academic skill-building: students work on note-taking techniques, essay writing, and scene performances drawn from literary texts. It's worth noting that this isn't a casual reading camp — it's explicitly framed as preparation for MBA's own academic program, so it moves at a purposeful pace and sets expectations early for the kind of work the school values. Classes run mornings only, just one hour a day from 9 to 10 a.m., over the course of a week. At $175, it's an accessible way to give a rising 7th grader some confidence heading into a more rigorous academic year. Two sessions run between June 8 and July 10, so there's some scheduling flexibility. Families also explore Montgomery Bell Academy: Foundations of Writing and Montgomery Bell Academy: Debate Camp for similar academic enrichment options at the same campus.
