Montgomery Bell Academy: Adventures in Composition

This one-week writing course at Montgomery Bell Academy is designed specifically for rising 7th graders who want a head start on the composition work they'll face in the fall. The curriculum is drawn directly from what MBA teaches in 7th grade English — introducing the composition forms that students will be expected to work with during the school year. It's a focused academic enrichment opportunity rather than an open-ended writing workshop, making it a good fit for kids who thrive in structured settings and want to walk into 7th grade feeling prepared. Sessions run just one hour a day, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., making it easy to fit around other summer plans.
