Franklin Road Academy: Barbie Camp

Franklin Road Academy runs a Barbie-themed half-day camp for Nashville's youngest campers — little ones ages four through six who are deep in their Barbie phase. The week-long session runs afternoons only, from noon to three, June 8 through 12, which makes it a convenient option if your preschooler or kindergartner is already in a morning program. The curriculum centers on fashion and character activities inspired by the Barbie universe, giving kids a chance to get creative in a structured school-campus environment. At $325 for the week, it's reasonably priced for a specialty camp, and the three-hour afternoon blocks are just the right length for this age group without wearing anyone out. Franklin Road Academy has clearly built a niche running these pop-culture and character-themed camps for the early-elementary crowd — they know exactly what captures the imagination of a four-to-six-year-old. The single-week format also keeps the commitment manageable for families still figuring out summer schedules.
