Cheekwood: Textile Fundamentals

Take a deeper dive into the long tradition of textiles, one of the world's oldest handicrafts and artforms. From creating woven wall hangings to naturally dyeing fabrics, work with a wide range of fiber-based art materials and build foundational skills for creating art with textiles. Knit, stamp, weave, embroider, and felt while learning about the historical and cultural significance of textiles. Note: This is not a wearable art or sewing camp — campers primarily make fiber-based works for artistic display. Full day camp (9 AM – 4 PM). Lunch care provided 12 – 1 PM; lunch is not provided.
